This is a much needed extension for anyone who works with SVG images. It works really well and I haven't encountered any problems thus far.

Brilliant! Why isn't this native in W10????

It works very well with my Windows 8.1. After installation I had to restart my pc. inkscape 0.92 has some problems with the preview window, but thanks to this extension I can always browse my svg files. Thank you so much!

Using Windows 10 64 bit and the 64 bit version of the viewer. I'm getting black image icons for the svgs. I can see the shapes but they're all filled in solid black with no colour. As suggested in the reviews, I tried deleting IconCache.db at this location: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\ and deleted all iconcache files at this location: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer, then rebooted. Still black. Any ideas?

It's exactly doing what it's supposed to on a Win10 64bit system.

Works great on Windows 10 64 bit. You do need to delete the icon cache. Deleting the following worked for me. Delete IconCache.db at this location: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\ Delete all iconcache files at this location: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer Some iconcache files may not be deleted in this last folder. But evidently the ones that were deleted worked for me. You can also close and reopen Windows File Explorer and/or terminate/restart the explorer process. Some have indicated the need for a reboot, I did not need to do this. Here is the source of the Windows 10 information:

Have 64-bit Windows 8.1, installed the 64-bit extension, restarted the computer, but in "icons" mode in Windows Explorer, SVG files were still showing with a constant file icon (PNG files etc., by contrast, were showing preview); the extension does nothing.

Well done. Works out of the box on Windows 8.1 64bit, no reboot was required.

Great Work. is it possible to make/put context menu options like The "Adobe SVG Viewer"?

Excellent extension that just works

This is a wonderful and sorely needed extension. It is in a early stage and ay require some tweaking but so far it has been working well for me. Easy to install - simply download and run the .exe Some files did not initially display the thumbnails but when I copied them to a new folder the thumbnails displayed correctly. A small tag on each thumbnail helps visually identify the SVG thumbs in a mixed folder and this is excellent as I keep each graphic in EPS, and PNG format as well in the same folder. Thank you for this work. Charlie
